Clovis’ Only Locally Owned and Operated Prime Steakhouse.

13 Prime Steak is a locally owned and operated prime steakhouse featuring American Regional Cuisine. Our 4000-square foot restaurant features an eclectic dining room, a shiny new display kitchen, a 30-seat private dining room, and a 16-seat steampunk inspired bar featuring signature craft cocktails.

Our restaurant is Chef driven. We focus on freshly prepared house-made recipes and fine quality ingredients. We serve Certified Angus Prime Beef, wet-aged for 28 days, corn-fed finished, from the Mid-West of these United States. We want our guests to have a memorable dining experience from the minute they walk into the restaurant, to the time they leave. Every aspect of your dining experience is carefully planned out and executed. We invite you to come in and spend the night with us.

The Story Behind The

What’s with the name? 13 Prime Steak is 13 years in the making. Restaurateur, John D Marihart grew up in Fresno in the food and beverage industry. He was on hiatus from the restaurant business to start a family and a successful second career in the technology industry. Thirteen years later, the perfect opportunity presented itself and restaurant ownership became a reality.

John knew that the restaurant he created had to be comparable, if not better, than the restaurants he enjoys when he and his wife, Falina, travel. Knowing this, John teamed up with friend and Executive Chef, Tommy Chavez, who has owned and operated successful restaurants and is now part of the 13 Prime Steak team. Both John and Chef Tommy have worked together in the past opening multi-themed restaurants and food outlets for Indian Gaming Casinos. Together, this is a new venture, however, this team is not new to the restaurant industry. John and Chef Tommy will have a very positive influence on the local restaurant scene.
